Each online audiovisual GAMSAT preparation lesson is an average of 5 minutes long for a total of over 400 separate lessons. The online instructor will demonstrate that this section of the GAMSAT, surprisingly, is almost formulaic. If you know the formula—what is being assessed and how—it is virtually impossible not to succeed on the essays. Without the formula, however, students often write genuinely coherent and insightful essays by a different standard, only to fail this section of the GAMSAT.
After demystifying the criteria of assessment for both the argumentative and discursive types of GAMSAT essay questions, MedPrep’s 60 pages worth of Written Communication online GAMSAT course materials go on to advance an astute essay-writing methodology that has produced exceptional results for generations of MedPrep students. The online instructor will demonstrate that ordinary passive reading is not effective on the GAMSAT, and will provide strategies to improve comprehension and manage time. Through practice, both during the lesson and following, with over 100 online simulated GAMSAT questions corresponding to passages of personal, imaginative, expository and argumentative writing, new skills are conditioned involving passage annotation, assessment of logical argumentative structure, subjective vs objective thinking, and question analysis.
